A Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Altar Table

the rectangular top raised on a recessed waist above shaped aprons and square legs ending in hoof feet, the top panel decorated with a central shou medallion and two shou characters, divided by ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, all reserved on a bright yellow ground with interlocking T motif, the border decorated with lotus scrolls on a celeste blue ground, the aprons and legs having similar shou, lotus sprays and melon decoration.

Height 32 x width 41 x depth 16 1/4 inches.

景泰蓝，又称“掐丝珐琅”，又因多用蓝色釉作为底衬色，最后演变成“景泰蓝”这个名字。

景泰蓝于元代进入中国，虽然是舶来品，但是到了景泰年间，由于皇家的重视发扬光大，使它声名鹊起。

明末清初孙承泽在《天府广记》中记载：“至内造如宣德之铜器、成化之窑器，永乐果园厂之髹器，景泰御前作坊之珐琅，精巧远迈前古，四方好事者，亦于市内重价购之。”

史料记载，乾隆四十四年除夕年夜饭，只有乾隆皇帝的餐具是景泰蓝，底下全部用瓷器。可见景泰蓝在中国历史中扮演着怎样的角色，它是身份与地位的象征。

同时，景泰蓝也是紫禁城皇家宝库中最神秘的珍品，是明清两朝600年不外传的最高机密。

由于这种珍贵的珐琅制品很长时期专供皇室享用，民间少有流传，故而辨识度并不高，这也从侧面说明这件花瓶的珍贵。

景泰蓝制品色彩润泽鲜明，胎骨厚重坚实，掏丝整齐匀称、镀金灿烂光亮。

主要制作流程为制胎、掐丝、点蓝、烧蓝、磨光、镀金六大工艺。

制

胎

制胎：将紫铜片按照图纸要求剪出各种不同形状，并用铁锤敲打成各种形状的铜胎，然后将其各部位衔接上好焊药，经高温焊接后便成为器皿铜胎造型。

掐

丝

掐丝：用镊子将压扁了的细紫铜丝掐、掰成各种精美的图案花纹，再蘸上白芨粘附在铜胎上，然后筛上银焊药粉，经900度的高温焙烧，将铜丝花纹牢牢地焊接在铜胎上。

点

蓝

点蓝：经过掐丝工序后的胎体，再经烧焊、酸洗、平活、正丝等工序后，方可进入点蓝工序。

点蓝是艺师把事先备好的珐琅釉料，依照图案所标示的颜色，用由铜丝锤制成的小铲形工具，一铲铲地将珐琅釉料填充入焊好的铜丝纹饰框架中。

烧

蓝

烧蓝：是将整个胎体填满色釉后，再拿到炉温大约800℃的高炉中用一些矿物石头粉作燃料烘烧，色釉由砂粒状固体熔化为液体，待冷却后成为固着在胎体上的绚丽的色釉，此时色釉低于铜丝高度，所以得再填一次色釉，再经烧结，一般要连续四五次，直至将纹样内填到与掐丝纹相平。

磨

光

磨光：是用粗砂石、黄石、木炭分三次将凹凸不平的蓝釉磨平，凡不平之处都需经补釉烧熔后反复打磨，最后用木炭、刮刀将没有蓝釉的铜线、底线、口线刮平磨亮。

镀

金

镀金：将磨平、磨亮的景泰蓝经酸洗、去污、沙亮后，放入镀金液糟中，然后通上电流，几分钟后黄金液便牢牢附首在景泰蓝金属部位上了。

再经水洗冲净干燥处理后，一件斑斓夺目的景泰蓝便可惊艳亮相了。
